Artist management software covers two jobs: running the business (booking, contracts, invoices) and growing the artist (links, press, email, release planning). Stage does the second one. It is free to start, and the Manager plan is $39.99 a month. Today each artist has their own Stage account; a multi-artist roster is in development.
If you manage artists, you probably already have a place for contracts and calendars. What is usually missing is a place to run each release: the link, the pre-save, the press kit, the fan list and the plan. That is what Stage is for. This page is plain about what works today and what does not.
What a manager gets today
- Smart links and pre-save for each release, with fan email capture on every link. See smart links and pre-save.
- An EPK and a hosted press kit for each artist. 41 EPK templates, all free to use, with a free EPK template to start from. PDF and HTML export is on Pro.
- Fan email. The Manager plan sends up to 25,000 emails a month to captured fans and imported lists. See fan email.
- Press and Outreach. Outlets matched to the artist's genre, with how often each one publishes, so you pitch the ones that are alive. You send from your own inbox.
- Playlist Fit. Scores a track against any Spotify playlist before you pitch. See Playlist Fit.
- A Booking page and a Release Calendar for the artist.
- HANI, an AI assistant, with a daily allowance of 75 credits on Manager. See the AI manager page.
What is not shipped yet
A multi-artist roster in one account and team seats are in development, shaped with our first manager partners. Today each artist runs their own Stage account, and the Manager plan adds higher limits on top of Pro. If you manage a roster and want to shape it, email info@groovegainer.com with what you need. We do not have a date to print.
Stage does not do booking contracts, invoicing, royalty splits or touring logistics. Use a roster tool for those.

If you need several artists in one workspace right now, Copythistune and Linkfire Teams do that today and Stage does not.
A release week with Stage
- Two weeks out: the artist publishes a pre-save page and you share it. Fans leave emails.
- Release day: the same link flips to live buttons and the fans are emailed.
- Day two: you check which cities and sources the clicks came from, then send a thank-you to the new fans.
- Following week: you pitch outlets matched to the genre, using the EPK link in each pitch.
The checklist for those weeks is on the release checklist page.
FAQ
What is the best music management software?
It depends which job you need done. Roster tools such as the ones in the table handle bookings, contracts and invoices. Stage handles the release and fan side. Many managers will use one of each.
Is there free artist management software?
Stage Free covers one artist's release tools with no time limit. Copythistune offers free smart links for unlimited artists in one account. Neither replaces booking or contract software.
Can I manage several artists in one Stage account?
Not yet. Each artist has their own account today. A multi-artist roster and team seats are in development.
Do labels use Stage?
Stage is built for artists, managers and agencies. The Manager plan used to be called Label; the name changed because the people who run the growth work are managers and agencies.
