Fan email capture puts an opt-in email box on every release link and pre-save page, so streams turn into contacts you own. In Stage it is free on every link, and you can email the fans you capture: 250 sends a month on Free, 5,000 on Pro and 25,000 on Manager.
Streaming platforms do not give you a listener's email address. A fan who taps your link and leaves an address is the only audience you can contact without a platform in the middle. This page explains what Stage captures, what you can send, what each plan allows and where it falls short.
What you capture
- The fan's email address and an optional name.
- Where the click came from (country, region or city where known) and the device used.
- An engagement score from 0 to 100.
- A welcome email, and a one-click unsubscribe link on every email.
- A CSV export of your whole fan list, free on every plan, at any time.
The Email Agent
The Email Agent is where you write and send. You write step by step with a live preview of what fans will see, send yourself a test, then send. After each send you get a report with opens, clicks and unsubscribes. HANI can draft the copy for you to edit; see the AI manager page. There are starter templates to begin from. Stage used to have an Automations tab; it was removed, so there are no automated sequences today.

Where Stage is not enough yet
- No automated sequences. You send each campaign yourself.
- The free plan can only email fans captured through your Stage links. Importing a list is a Pro feature, which keeps Stage's shared sending address clean.
- 25,000 sends a month is the top limit, on Manager.
FAQ
Is there free email marketing for musicians?
Yes. Stage Free includes fan email capture on every link and 250 sends a month to the fans you captured, with no time limit. Each email carries a small line saying it was sent with Stage.
How do I get my fans' emails from Spotify?
You cannot. Spotify does not share listener emails with artists. The way to get them is to send fans to a page you control, such as a smart link with an email box, and ask.
Is email marketing still worth it in 2026?
For artists with a release or a show to announce, yes, because an email reaches the person directly and you do not need an algorithm to show it. We cover the tactics in email marketing for musicians and how to build a fan email list.
Do fans have to opt in?
Yes. Fans type their address into the box on your link, and every email you send includes an unsubscribe link. Only email people who gave you their address, and say what you will send.
