An EPK builder is a tool that turns your bio, photos, music and press into a press kit page you can share with one link. Stage's EPK builder is free: 41 templates, a hosted link and no time limit.
The 41 templates are 15 classic designs, 21 genre templates for rock, indie, pop and rap, and 5 signature designs: a Swiss poster, a concrete wall poster, a two-colour zine, a city pop print and a Y2K chrome page. Every one of them is free to publish. Pro adds export and removes the footer line; nothing about the kit itself is locked. If you want a fill-in-the-blanks version first, download the one-page EPK template (PDF) or read the free EPK template guide.
What the builder does
- Nine sections, click to edit. Header, bio, stats, press, discography, shows, music and video, stage plot and rider, contact. Click a section on the page and edit it in place. Empty sections are hidden on the public page rather than shown as placeholders.
- Your music on the page. Embedded Spotify and YouTube players, so a booker hears you without leaving the kit.
- Live-show files. Upload a stage plot and tech rider for promoters to download and forward to the sound engineer.
- Press quotes with attribution, a shows list with ticket links, and a discography with artwork.
- A booker checklist. "What a booker sees" checks the live page for a bio, a real photo, music, a booking contact and one piece of proof (a press quote, a listener count or an upcoming show). It advises and never blocks. Stock placeholder photos never publish.
- Autosave while you edit.
- A hosted link at stage.groovegainer.com/epk/your-name: 3 to 60 characters, letters, numbers and hyphens. It opens read-only in any browser and updates every time you save, so the kit in a booker's inbox is never out of date.

How much does an EPK cost?
Nothing, if you build it on a free builder or fill in a template yourself. Stage's hosted EPK is free with no time limit, and so is the PDF template.
Paid options fall into three groups. Website builders charge monthly for an EPK page: Bandzoogle's EPK plan is $6.95 a month, or $6.37 a month billed annually. Ready-made Canva and Google Docs templates on Etsy sell for roughly $6 to $10 each. A designer or publicist building a custom kit charges by project. The cost to watch is not the fee; it is a kit that cannot be updated, so the numbers in it quietly go stale.
What format should an EPK be in?
A web page you can update, plus a PDF for anyone who asks for an attachment. The web page is what you link in emails and submission forms; the PDF is the backup. On Stage the hosted page is free and the PDF export is Pro. If you only need the PDF, the free template above works in any editor.

Who it is for
- Artists pitching their own shows, press and playlists, who need one link that is always current.
- Managers pitching on behalf of an act, who want the kit to stay accurate between releases.
- Agencies and publicists pitching bookers, who want the client's kit to update itself instead of resending PDFs.

FAQ
Is there a free website builder specifically for musicians?
Several. Stage's EPK builder gives you a free hosted press kit page with no time limit. Sleeve.fm has a free artist website plan with a press kit and a custom domain. Bandzoogle offers a 14-day trial, then paid plans. A press kit page and a full website are different jobs: the EPK is for bookers and press, the website is for fans.
How much does an EPK cost?
It can cost nothing. Stage's hosted EPK is free with every template and no time limit, and our PDF template is free. Paid routes run from about $6 to $10 for an Etsy template, to $6.95 a month for Bandzoogle's EPK plan, to a designer's project fee.
How do I make an EPK on Canva, and is a Canva PDF enough?
You can lay out a press kit in Canva and export a PDF, and for an email attachment that works. The weakness is that every change means a new file, and the old one stays in every inbox you sent it to. A hosted page fixes that: you edit once and the same link shows the new version. Keep a PDF as the backup, not as the kit.
What is the best EPK platform?
It depends on what else you need. For a full artist website with a store, Bandzoogle. For a website with fan email and memberships, Sleeve.fm. For a press kit that sits next to your smart links, fan list and an AI manager in one free account, Stage. Whatever you pick, judge it on the result: a booker should hear your music, see a real photo and find a booking email within a minute.
