An AI artist manager is software that reads your streaming and fan data and tells you what to do next. HANI is Stage's: you get 15 questions a month free, 30 credits a day on Pro ($9.99 a month) and 75 a day on Manager ($39.99). It plans and drafts. It does not replace a human manager, run ads or book shows.
This page covers what HANI does today, what it does not do, how the credits work, what it runs on, and how it compares with the other AI managers we could verify. We build HANI, so we have marked every competitor fact with the date we checked it.
What HANI does today
HANI is a chat assistant inside Stage. It works from your connected Spotify artist data (monthly listeners, followers, top cities, releases), your Smart Link and fan numbers, and what you tell it. Ask it a question and it answers from those numbers, and when a job fits a Stage tool it points you there.
- Morning Report and Today's Move. A short daily read of your numbers and one thing worth doing, with a streak counter. Opt-in push notifications, at most one a day.
- Release planning. Ask for a plan around a release date and get a dated list of tasks. See the release checklist for the shape of it.
- Press pitch drafts. HANI drafts pitches to outlets matched to your genre. You send them yourself from your own inbox.
- Pointers to the right tool. Ask whether a track suits a playlist and HANI sends you to Playlist Fit, which scores it. The tool is described on the Playlist Fit page.
- Email copy. Drafts for the fans you captured, written in your voice, for you to edit and send from the Email Agent.
- Content ideas. Plans for short-form video and posts built around a release.
What HANI does not do
- It is not a licensed manager and takes no commission. It cannot negotiate a deal, sign anything or speak to a promoter for you.
- It does not run ads. Stage has no ad product.
- It does not guarantee streams, playlist placements or press coverage. It cannot see inside Spotify for Artists, only the public artist data Stage reads.
- It does not book shows. Stage has a Booking page that fans and promoters can use, which is a separate tool.
How credits work
A standard HANI question costs 1 credit. A question where HANI calls a specialist tool or searches the web costs 3. The allowance depends on the plan.
| Plan | Price | HANI allowance |
|---|
| Free | $0, no time limit | 15 credits per calendar month, plus 10 extra the first time you open Stage from your phone's home screen |
| Pro | $9.99 a month, or $99.99 a year | 30 credits a day |
| Manager | $39.99 a month | 75 credits a day |
Paid plans have a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment. The full plan table is on the pricing page.
What HANI runs on and how your data is handled
HANI runs on Anthropic's Claude through the commercial API. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, what you send is not used to train its models. Stage keeps what you send to the AI tools and what comes back for 90 days, then removes it. When HANI looks at your fans it sees first names, cities and counts, never email addresses. The full list is in the privacy policy.

Where the others are stronger: un:hurd offers paid playlist pitching and automated ad buying, which Stage does not. MNGRS.AI is priced at about the same level and has a similar bundle, and if you prefer a French interface it is the natural pick.
FAQ
How much does an artist manager cost?
A human manager usually takes a commission. Sonicbids' guide to management agreements puts the typical range at 15 to 20 percent of the artist's income, and the base (gross, modified gross or net) varies by contract. An AI manager like HANI costs nothing on Stage Free and $9.99 a month on Pro.
Is there a free AI music manager?
Yes. Stage Free includes 15 HANI credits every calendar month with no time limit and no card. A standard question is 1 credit, so that is roughly 15 questions, fewer if some use web search.
Does HANI replace a manager?
No. HANI plans, explains your numbers and drafts pitches and emails. It cannot negotiate, sign, book or represent you. Many artists use it to do the planning work a manager would otherwise do, and to arrive at a human manager with a clearer picture.
What is the best AI for musicians?
It depends on the job. A general chatbot is fine for writing a first draft of a bio. A tool tied to your own data is better for questions about your releases and fans. We compare general chatbots with music-specific tools in can ChatGPT promote your music and AI tools for independent musicians.
