Playlist Fit is a free tool that scores how well a track matches any Spotify playlist on BPM, energy, danceability, valence, acousticness and genre, so you pitch the playlists it actually suits. It gives you a shareable report. It does not submit your track to anyone.
Most playlist pitches fail for a boring reason: the track does not belong on the playlist. A curator who gets a slow acoustic song for a playlist of club tracks deletes it in seconds. Playlist Fit checks that before you spend time writing the pitch.
How it works
- Open Playlist Fit in Stage and enter the track you want to pitch.
- Add the link to the Spotify playlist you have in mind.
- Stage reads the audio features of your track and of the tracks on the playlist, compares them and returns a match score, with the places where your track fits and where it does not.
- Share the report as a link if you want a second opinion, for example from a collaborator.
The audio features (tempo, energy, danceability, valence, acousticness) come from Spotify's audio data through a third-party service, ReccoBeats. A score is a guide, not a prediction. A high score does not mean a curator will add your track, and a low one does not mean they would not.
Playlist Fit does not submit your track
Some pitching sites let you pay to send a track to many curators. Playlist Fit is not one of them and does not pretend to be. It answers one question: does this track suit this playlist. What you do with the answer is up to you. Spotify's own route for new releases is the pitch form in Spotify for Artists, which needs the track delivered at least 7 days before release, per Spotify's guidance on pitching to editors.
Using the score in a pitch
- Pick playlists with a score you can defend. Pitch the ones where tempo and energy line up, not the biggest ones.
- Say why it fits in one line. Curators read the first sentence only. Naming a shared tempo range or mood is more convincing than saying it is a great fit.
- Keep the pitch short. A structure that works: one line on who you are, one line on the track, one line on why it fits this playlist, a link.
A pitch built that way, with the placeholders in capitals:
Hi NAME. I'm ARTIST NAME, an independent producer from CITY. My new single TRACK TITLE is a mid-tempo track around BPM beats per minute with a warm, low-energy feel, close to the other tracks on PLAYLIST NAME. I thought it might suit your listeners. Private link: URL. Thanks for listening.

FAQ
Does Playlist Fit submit my song?
No. It only scores the match between your track and a playlist. You pitch the curator yourself.
Is it worth pitching to Spotify playlists?
It is worth it when the playlist suits the track and the curator is real and active. A well matched pitch costs only time. A large pitch to playlists that do not suit the song rarely works.
How do I find a playlist's BPM and energy?
Spotify does not show these on the playlist page. Playlist Fit reads the audio features for the tracks on the playlist and shows how your track compares.
Is Playlist Fit really free?
Yes. It has been included on the free plan since 26 September 2026, as the changelog records.
Run a check
Open Stage, paste your Spotify link and run Playlist Fit on a track at stage.groovegainer.com. If you would rather have a managed campaign, Groove Gainer, the company behind Stage, runs playlist promotion campaigns; curators decide whether to add a track. For the weeks around a release, see how to promote a single before release.
