Does SoundCloud allow AI music? What SoundCloud has published

Unclear. SoundCloud has not published a rule on uploading AI-generated music that we could find. Its public AI statement is about training: it says it will not train AI to copy your voice, music or likeness without your opt-in consent. What SoundCloud's AI policy says

This page is short on rules because SoundCloud has published very little. Its public AI statement is about training AI on your music, not about whether you can upload AI-made tracks. We say exactly what is and is not out there.

How SoundCloud's rules fit with your distributor's

Most artists do not upload to SoundCloud directly: a distributor delivers the song. That means two sets of AI rules apply. The distributor decides whether it will deliver an AI song at all, and to which stores, and SoundCloud then applies its own rules once the song is there. Check both before you plan a release, and keep the date you checked.

Can you upload AI music to SoundCloud?

SoundCloud has not published a rule that bans, allows or labels AI-generated uploads, as far as we could find. Press trackers report that AI-assisted uploads are allowed. Normal copyright and impersonation rules still apply.

Will SoundCloud train AI on my music?

SoundCloud said in May 2025 that it will not use your content to train generative AI that replicates your voice, music or likeness without your explicit opt-in consent. We read this in press; SoundCloud's terms page did not load for automated reading.

Why did SoundCloud change its AI terms?

A February 2024 terms change was criticised by artists. SoundCloud then revised the wording in May 2025 to require opt-in consent for training AI that copies your voice, music or likeness.

Do I need to label AI tracks on SoundCloud?

No labelling rule was found. If SoundCloud publishes one, we will add it here with the date.

Can I upload a Suno song to SoundCloud?

SoundCloud has no AI rule to stop it that we found, but Suno's own terms matter: free-plan songs are non-commercial only and owned by Suno. Monetising them is ruled out by Suno.
