Free Spotify Canvas maker with no watermark

Make a Spotify Canvas from your own video: drop the clip above, drag the 9:16 crop, pick 3 to 8 seconds, choose a straight or Rebound loop and export an MP4 with no watermark and no sound. No AI, no stock clips and no sign-up. Spotify accepts MP4 or JPG, 720 to 1080 px tall.

Spotify Canvas Converter runs in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded.

What this Canvas maker is, and is not

It is an honest converter for footage you already own. It does not generate video with AI, it has no stock library and it does not add a logo to your file. You bring a phone clip, a cut from your music video or a photo; it turns that into a file that meets Spotify's Canvas spec. Because it runs in your browser, your unreleased visuals never leave your computer or phone.

Make a Canvas in four steps

  1. Pick footage that loops well. A slow push in, smoke, a light flicker, hands on an instrument. Spotify suggests footage without talking, singing or rapping.
  2. Drop it in and frame it. Drag the preview to move the 9:16 crop. For a landscape clip, Fit with blurred edges keeps the whole frame.
  3. Choose the loop. Straight plays from your start point. Rebound plays forward, then backwards, which Spotify calls an easy way to get a smooth loop.
  4. Export and upload. Download the MP4, then in Spotify for Artists open Music, pick the track and choose Add Canvas.

No video? Make a still Canvas

Spotify also accepts a JPG. Open the Still Canvas tab, drop a photo or your cover art and save a 9:16 JPG at 608 x 1080. The Cover art tab can also place your square artwork on a soft, blurred backdrop for a still Canvas in one click. It is a quick way to have something on every track on release day, and you can swap in a video later.

Ideas that suit an 8 second loop

Keep it calm. Spotify's guidelines ask you to avoid rapid cuts and intense flashing, and the content policy says no URLs, ticket links or requests to follow you on social media. Text is better left out: some phones crop the edges.

Questions artists ask

Is this Spotify Canvas maker really free?

Yes. There is no watermark, no sign-up and no limit on exports. It runs in your browser, so it costs us nothing to run.

Does it use AI?

No. It converts footage or photos you already have. Nothing is generated.

Can I make a Canvas from a photo?

Yes. Spotify accepts a JPG Canvas. Use the Still Canvas tab to crop a photo to 9:16 and save it at 608 x 1080.

Can I make a Canvas on my phone?

Yes, in a recent Safari or Chrome. Phone browsers are slower, so an 8 second export can take a little while.

Can I add a Canvas before the song comes out?

Yes. Spotify says you can add a Canvas to any track, including upcoming releases.

Why is my export WebM instead of MP4?

Your browser cannot make MP4 video. Spotify asks for MP4 or JPG, so open the page in Chrome, Edge or Safari, or make a Still Canvas instead.
