A pre-save link lets fans opt in before release day and get the track the moment it is live. To make one free in Stage you create a free account, paste your Spotify link, add the release date and publish. It needs an account, takes a few minutes and includes email capture.
We want to be plain about this: Stage does not have an anonymous, no-login generator. You sign up first, because the page has to belong to someone for the fans' emails to go anywhere. The signup is free, with no card.
Make a pre-save link in five steps
- Go to stage.groovegainer.com, paste your Spotify artist link and sign up. Stage reads your public artist data and drafts a release page for you, unpublished, so nothing goes live until you say so.
- Open the Smart Link builder. Paste the link to your upcoming release from Spotify, Apple Music or Deezer if it is already on a store, or enter the title and date yourself. Stage looks for the release on the other services and fills in the cover, title and release date.
- Set the release date. Before that date the page shows a countdown and a Remind me box. After it, the same link flips to live streaming buttons.
- Pick a template. Classic templates and the pre-save motion template Gathering are free. The other pre-save motion templates need Pro.
- Publish and share the link. Fans who leave an email are saved to your fan list.
What your fans see
A page with your cover, the title, the release date and an email box. They tap Remind me, type their address and are done. They are never asked to log in to Spotify. On release day they get an email, and the link they tapped shows the live buttons. The full explanation, including how this differs from login-based pre-saves, is on the pre-save links page.
What you keep
- The fan email list, exportable as CSV on every plan.
- Where each fan clicked from, their device and an engagement score from 0 to 100.
- 250 email sends a month on Free to the fans you captured. Pro raises that to 5,000. See fan email capture.

Spotify does not charge for pre-saves. The tool you use may. Stage includes pre-save on its free plan with no time limit.
How do I make a pre-save link for Apple Music?
Add your Apple Music link to the release in the builder along with the other services. On release day the Apple Music button goes live with the rest. Stage's pre-save is a reminder by email rather than an Apple Music library add.
