Which music distributor accepts AI music?
DistroKid accepts AI-made music with AI credits and ONErpm with a self-declaration. Amuse, Ditto, RouteNote, UnitedMasters, LANDR and Too Lost accept it with limits, often leaving out YouTube Content ID. TuneCore and Symphonic want licensed AI tools. CD Baby and AWAL do not accept AI music.
SOURCE: DistroKid Help: Can I Upload Music Made With AI Tools to DistroKid? · CHECKED 16 October 2026Music Distributor Picker runs in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded.
Every distributor writes its own AI rule, and they change fast. The table below uses the same dated rules as our AI music rules checker. Two things hold almost everywhere: you must own the rights to what the AI made, and you cannot copy a real artist's voice or name.
AI music rules by distributor
| Distributor | Verdict | What its rule says | Cheapest way in |
|---|---|---|---|
| DistroKid | Allowed with disclosure | Yes, with AI credits. DistroKid accepts music made with AI tools if you own all the rights, do not copy anyone's voice or likeness without permission, and are not flooding stores. The upload form asks whether AI generated any part of the track. | $24.99 a year |
| TuneCore | Allowed with limits | Only from licensed AI tools. TuneCore distributes AI-made music only if every AI model used was trained on fully licensed data. Google Flow Music is its named approved partner, and Suno says tracks from its new partner model are eligible. | $24.99 a year |
| CD Baby | Not allowed | No. CD Baby says it cannot accept any AI-generated content, even if it is commercially licensed and even if only part of the recording is AI. AI content it finds is removed, and repeat attempts can end your account. | $9.99 per release |
| Amuse | Allowed with limits | Yes, but not to every store. Amuse allows AI-generated music, but leaves out stores that do not accept AI content, including Qobuz, Meta and YouTube Content ID. Tracks imitating well-known artists and AI covers are rejected. | $23.99 a year |
| Ditto Music | Allowed with limits | Yes, but not to every store. Ditto lets you upload music made with AI tools if you hold all the rights and do not impersonate anyone, but stores such as Apple Music, Beatport, Pandora and YouTube Content ID might reject fully AI releases. | $19 a year |
| RouteNote | Allowed with limits | Yes, with limits. RouteNote accepts some AI-generated content if you follow the AI tool's terms and do not imitate real artists, but AI releases cannot go to Content ID-style services, Amazon, or its Korean partner stores, and may take longer to review. | Free, keeps 15% |
| UnitedMasters | Allowed with limits | Yes, with limits. UnitedMasters distributes music created or assisted by AI if it follows its terms, but fully AI-generated tracks are not eligible for Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, and unauthorised AI voices of famous artists are rejected. | $19.99 a year |
| LANDR | Allowed with limits | Yes, with limits. LANDR accepts music made with AI tools if you disclose it at upload, but caps AI tracks at 20 or 60 a month by plan, rejects AI covers, and cannot send AI music to Content ID, Meta, TikTok or Deezer. | $24 a year |
| Symphonic | Allowed with limits | Yes, with disclosure and licensed tools. Symphonic's terms require you to disclose any AI-generated or AI-assisted media, and Symphonic says it does not distribute content made with AI models that do not meet its licensing requirements. | $29.99 a year |
| ONErpm | Allowed with disclosure | Yes, with a self-declaration. ONErpm asks you at upload to pick how much AI was used, from Human Created, No AI to Fully AI-Generated. It says the declaration is for information only and all tracks stay eligible for monetisation. | Free, keeps a share |
| AWAL | Not allowed | No. AWAL's distribution terms make you promise that no generative AI was used in creating any recording or related material, or any part of it. AWAL has no public help page on AI beyond this clause. | Free, keeps 15% |
| Too Lost | Allowed with limits | Yes, with limits. Too Lost accepts music created with AI for distribution, but fully AI-generated tracks go through a quality check, releases that replicate existing content are rejected, and AI-generated or AI-assisted music is not eligible for YouTube Content ID. | $19.99 a year |
What to check before you upload AI music
- Your AI tool's terms. Some generators only let you release songs commercially on a paid plan. Check the plan you used when you made the song.
- The distributor's rule in the table above, and whether it leaves out stores such as YouTube Content ID for AI music.
- Disclosure. DistroKid asks for AI credits; ONErpm asks you to pick how much AI was used; LANDR and Symphonic ask you to disclose it.
- No voice clones or covers. Amuse and LANDR reject AI covers, and most reject anything that imitates a real artist.
Do not mass-upload
Distributors and stores watch for floods of near-identical tracks and for artificial streams. If a song gets flagged, distributors pass on Spotify's per-track fee; TuneCore puts it at €10 per track per month. Our artificial streaming checker explains the notices and what to do.
