Feature.fm is a smart link and pre-save platform for musicians: one page per release that routes fans to the right streaming service, collects pre-saves before release day and captures email addresses. It is good at that job. People look for alternatives mostly because of the caps on its lower tiers and the price of the tier where the caps go away.
Below are eight alternatives, ranked by how well they replace Feature.fm for an independent artist, not for a label. Prices checked on 4 October 2026 on each company's own pricing page. Stage is on the list because we make it; it is ranked where we think it belongs, and its limits are written out like everyone else's. Where a vendor's own page would not load or does not say, we write that rather than guess.
Why people look for an alternative
Feature.fm's pricing page lists four artist plans. Free is $0 with 7 days of insight data and one pre-save service. Basic Artist is $8 a month with 28-day insights, 50 emails per link and three pre-save services. Artist is $19 a month with 90-day insights, 200 emails per link, every pre-save service, one Spotify multi-follow and a custom domain. Pro Artist is $39 a month with lifetime insight data, unlimited emails and three multi-follows. Artist and Pro Artist carry a 7-day trial. The Artist and Pro Artist prices match what a third party published in February 2023, so they have been stable for at least three years.
The friction is in three places.
Email caps per link. A pre-save that brings in 300 fans on the $19 plan stops collecting at 200. The only tier without a cap is $39 a month, which is more than Linkfire's $27 single-artist plan. Tactics for using that list are in email marketing for musicians.
Data that expires. Seven days of insights on Free and 28 on Basic Artist mean you cannot look back at a campaign a month later without upgrading.
Upmarket drift. Feature.fm's 2026 announcements were "The Control Room" for marketers managing multiple releases (February), an expanded enterprise footprint (March) and a SonoSuite distribution partnership (June). The artist plans still exist and still work. The company's attention is on business customers.
None of this makes Feature.fm a bad product. It makes it a product whose best features start at $19 to $39 a month, and plenty of independent artists want the same core at a lower price or with more in the box.
What to look for in a replacement
Before the list, the five questions that decide it:
- Does the free plan include pre-save, and does it expire?
- Is email capture capped per link, per month, or not at all, and can you export the list?
- Can you send to that list from inside the tool, or only download a CSV?
- Does the tool stop at links, or does it also cover a press kit, playlist research or planning?
- What does the tool put on your fan page when you do not pay: a brandmark, ads or nothing?
The eight alternatives, ranked
1. Hypeddit
Price: Basic $108 a year billed annually ($9 a month) or $14 month to month; Pro $156 a year ($13 a month) or $29 month to month; Elite $1,188 a year ($99 a month) or $149 month to month. A free "Rookie" plan, available after the Pro trial, includes unlimited smart links and download gates. The homepage says paid plans start "at $14/month".
Best for: producers and DJs. Hypeddit's core is the download gate: fans like, repost, comment or follow on SoundCloud, Spotify, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms in return for a free download. Basic adds unlimited pre-saves, fan email collection and custom URLs and domain; Pro adds AI-powered music ads and fan analytics. Its "Lifetime Fans" feature emails fans automatically about new releases. It has the largest audience of any tool here (Similarweb showed 2.7 million visits over three months to August 2026), a Top 100 chart that gives tracks a second place to be found, and 539 Trustpilot reviews with a 4.7 TrustScore on 4 October 2026.
Limitation: no press kit, and pre-save and email collection start on the paid Basic plan, not on Rookie. Read the monthly and annual toggle carefully before you enter a card; the annual totals are billed up front. Side by side with Stage: Stage vs Hypeddit.
2. Stage
Price: Free with no time limit; Pro $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year (about $8.33 a month); Manager $39.99 a month. The first Pro payment has a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Best for: artists who want the link, the press kit, the fan list and a planning assistant in one account. Free includes unlimited Smart Links with email capture on every one, pre-save (fans leave an email and the page flips to live buttons on release day), the EPK builder with every one of its 15 classic, 21 genre and 80 motion templates, Playlist Fit, 250 email sends a month and 15 credits a month for HANI, an AI manager built on Anthropic's Claude. Pro adds the full 145-template Smart Link library, brandmark removal per link, full analytics including QR-code source, EPK export to PDF and HTML, the reward gate, 5,000 sends a month and 30 HANI credits a day.
Limitation: no custom domain yet, no ad product, and free links carry a "Stage by Groove Gainer" brandmark. The reward gate (an email gate, a follow gate or both, unlocking a download or other reward link) is Pro only, and its follow option is on the honor system: Stage cannot verify that a fan followed. Analytics on Free are the basics. Multi-artist roster for the Manager plan is in development, not shipped. Stage is also younger than everything above it on this list; we are saying so rather than hiding it.
Why second and not first: Hypeddit is the closer like-for-like swap for someone whose workflow is gates and pre-saves. If your problem with Feature.fm is paying $39 for uncapped email, Stage Pro at $9.99 with 5,000 sends a month is the cheaper fix, and it brings the press kit with it.
Stage's own /pricing page, captured on 4 October 2026.
3. Copythistune
Price: Free, "$0 forever"; Pro $4.99 a month or $49.90 a year.
Best for: artists who want the most link features for no money. The free plan lists unlimited smart links, bio link pages and short links, pre-saves on Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer, follow-to-unlock gates, one fan email broadcast a day, full analytics, Meta and Google pixels, the Meta Conversions API and three promo videos a month. Pro adds unlimited marketing emails, 90 promo videos a month, your own copythistune.com subdomain and up to five team members. It positions itself as a drop-in replacement for the shut-down Songwhip and runs pages aimed at Linkfire and Feature.fm users.
Limitation: it is new. Its Product Hunt launch in 2026 had two upvotes when we looked, and we found no independent reviews. No press kit. Whether the free tier stays this generous is a bet you are making on a young company.
4. Linkfire
Price: Pro $27 a month or $21 billed yearly, for one artist; Teams $55 a month or $45 yearly for up to five artist workspaces; Premium and Enterprise custom. No free plan: a 7-day or 14-day free trial with no credit card.
Best for: managers and small labels. Teams at $55 for five artists is the cheapest multi-artist workspace in this list, and Linkfire is the tool distributors and label staff already know. Every plan includes the full feature set, including pre-release links, email collection and logo removal. It added a Mailchimp sync in April 2026 with Klaviyo "coming soon".
Limitation: for a solo artist it is the most expensive single-artist plan here, and Linkfire's own blog post on the best smartlinks for 2025 still quotes plans "from $10/month to $100/month", so the floor has risen; we could not find when. No press kit, no AI. More in Linkfire alternatives and Linkfire vs Feature.fm vs Stage.
5. ListenTo (li.sten.to)
Price: described as a free pre-save link generator. Its pages would not load when we checked on 4 October 2026, so we do not state paid tiers or limits.
Best for: an artist who needs one pre-save page this week and nothing else. ListenTo's /presave page ranks for "pre-save link free" on its own merits.
Limitation: we could not confirm email capture, analytics or branding on the free tier, so we do not claim them. It is a link tool, not a fan tool. Odesli (Songlink) sits nearby as a free universal link generator: its pricing page lists two plans, "Automated" and "Custom", both free, and neither its homepage nor its pricing page mentions pre-save or email capture.
6. Linktree
Price: Free, Starter, Pro and Premium tiers; the pricing page shows prices in local currency, so we do not quote a USD figure. Pro has a 7-day free trial.
Best for: a bio link that holds everything (merch, tour, socials, the current single) when you are not running release campaigns. Linktree's musician page says "Join 70M+ people sharing smart links to music, merch and more", and lists music links across the main streaming services, email and SMS list building, and merch and tour integrations.
Limitation: not a release tool. Linktree's musician page and pricing page do not mention pre-save. Premium is the plan that removes Linktree branding.
7. MNGRS.AI
Price: the English site shows a launch offer of $9.99 a month, down from $29.99, "for early users"; the French site shows €4.99 a month, down from €9.99, with a regular price of €29.99. The site has no plan table, so we could not map features to plans.
Best for: artists who want an AI manager with a release plan attached. MNGRS.AI bundles an artist site with an EPK, a smart link, pre-save links, banners, content generators and a step-by-step six-week release plan, which makes it the closest feature-for-feature cousin to Stage. It started in French and now has an English version at mngrs.ai/en.
Limitation: no public pricing table, launch-offer pricing that will change, and a young product. We found no independent reviews.
8. ToneDen
Price: unknown. On 4 October 2026 toneden.io/pricing rendered only its title, "ToneDen - Automated Social Marketing", so we cannot state a current price.
Best for: honesty requires saying we are not sure who it is best for in 2026. We could not confirm its current plans or features.
Limitation: a product whose pricing page does not load is not one to build a release around. If you are leaving Feature.fm because its attention is drifting elsewhere, ToneDen is not the fix.

FAQ
How much does Feature.fm cost?
Free at $0, Basic Artist $8 a month, Artist $19 a month, Pro Artist $39 a month, with a 7-day trial on Artist and Pro Artist. Email capture is capped per link at 50 and 200 on Basic Artist and Artist and is unlimited on Pro Artist.
Is Feature.fm trustworthy?
We found nothing to suggest otherwise. Feature.fm has been listed on Product Hunt since 2015, was covered by TechCrunch in 2018 for its free pre-save tool, and publishes case studies with named artists. Its Trustpilot profile had only 21 reviews on 4 October 2026, too few to judge by, so try the free plan before paying.
Is there a free Feature.fm alternative with pre-save?
Yes. Stage Free includes pre-save and email capture with no time limit. Copythistune's free plan lists pre-saves on Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer. ListenTo offers a free pre-save generator. Hypeddit's free Rookie plan covers smart links and download gates; its pre-saves start on Basic.
Is pre-save on Spotify free?
Spotify does not charge for pre-saves. The cost is the tool that builds the page and collects the fan. Several tools on this list include pre-save in a free plan, and Spotify's own Countdown Pages let eligible artists (at least 3,000 monthly active listeners, albums and EPs only) take pre-saves inside Spotify. More on how each kind works: the pre-save guide and the music smart links guide.
Which alternative also makes a press kit?
Stage (15 classic, 21 genre and 80 motion EPK templates, all free to publish) and MNGRS.AI. None of the pure link tools on this list do. The usual add-on is a separate EPK product such as Bandzoogle's EPK plan at $6.95 a month, or $6.37 a month billed annually. Our free EPK template and EPK examples that get booked cover the format.
Can I move my Feature.fm fan list to another tool?
Export your emails from Feature.fm first: its pricing page lists email export on the Artist and Pro Artist plans. On Stage, CSV import of an existing fan list is a Pro feature; the fans you capture on Stage links are exportable on every plan.

If a $39 tier for uncapped email is the thing pushing you off Feature.fm, Stage Pro is $9.99 a month with 5,000 sends and a press kit in the same account, and Stage Free costs nothing for as long as you like.
