How Audiomack works out your pay
Each month Audiomack adds up its ad and subscription revenue, divides it by all streams on the platform to get a "revenue per stream", and pays monetized creators half of that for each of their streams. Its FAQ: "multiplied by the "revenue per stream," multiplied by the AMP revenue share, which is fifty (50%) percent" (Audiomack Creators). Audiomack does not publish the resulting number.
Why it is a range, not one number
No source measures every Audiomack payment, and each one covers different countries, years and plans. Here is what each says, word for word. The low end of our range is the lowest credible recent figure and the high end the highest.
| Source | What it says | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Audiomack Creators | "multiplied by the "revenue per stream," multiplied by the AMP revenue share, which is fifty (50%) percent" | Official (search snippet) |
| SoundCloud | "Average Audiomack earnings are estimated at $0.003 to $0.005 per stream, or roughly $1 to $5 per 1,000 streams." | Third-party |
Why the range is so wide
The only estimate we found is on another platform's site and gives both $1 to $5 and $0.003 to $0.005 per stream (source). We show the full $1 to $5 per 1,000 so the calculator does not promise more than the evidence supports. Your own Audiomack statements are the best guide to where you sit.
Worked examples
- 1 million streams on Audiomack pays about $1,000 to $5,000 to the rights holder. After a 15% distributor cut you keep $850 to $4,250.
- 100,000 streams pays about $100 to $500; 10,000 pays about $10 to $50.
- $1,000 takes about 200,000 to 1,000,000 streams with a 0% cut.
- Rent of $1,500 a month takes about 300,000 to 1,500,000 streams every month, before tax.
- A 50/50 split with a producer on 1 million streams: each of you gets about $500 to $2,500. Add collaborators in the calculator to see each person's share.
What these figures leave out
Every number here is the recording (master) side: what the platform pays the account that owns the recording, usually your distributor account. Songwriting money is separate. Mechanical and performance royalties for the composition go to the publisher, collection society or PRO, and US radio-style plays also earn SoundExchange money. None of that is in these figures, so a songwriter who owns their masters earns more than the table shows.
