Amuse release planner: scheduling minimums and the Spotify pitch
Amuse can schedule a release at least 14 days ahead on the Artist plan, 10 days on Artist+ and 7 days on Professional, in its own help centre's words. Those are minimums. To pitch Spotify editors as well, upload about four weeks ahead, because the pitch closes 7 days before release and the release needs time to appear.

Amuse minimums and what each leaves for a Spotify pitch
The pitch window below is the best case: the release is delivered the day you schedule it, shows in Spotify for Artists about 48 hours later, and the pitch closes 7 days before release. Amuse does not publish a review time, so the real window can be shorter.
| Amuse plan | Scheduling minimum | Spotify pitch window at the minimum | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Artist | at least 14 days in advance | about 5 days at best | Amuse help |
| Artist+ | at least 10 days in advance | about 1 day at best | Amuse help |
| Professional | at least 7 days in advance | none: the pitch would close before the release appears | Amuse help |
| Any plan, planner default | 28 days in advance | about 2.5 weeks | Spotify for Artists |
What Amuse says, word for word
Scheduling a release date: Artist at least 14 days in advance, Artist+ at least 10 days in advance, Professional at least 7 days in advance.— Amuse help: Release Times & Scheduling
Unlike the DistroKid, TuneCore and CD Baby help centres, Amuse's page could be read directly, so this is quoted from the page itself, checked on 13 October 2026.
A faster plan is not a longer pitch window
The paid Amuse plans let you schedule a release closer to the date, which is useful for a quick turnaround. They do not change Spotify's rules. The pitch still has to be in at least 7 days before release, and the release only shows in Spotify for Artists about 48 hours after delivery. That means a release scheduled 8 days out or less cannot be pitched at all, whichever plan you are on. If the pitch and Release Radar matter for this song, schedule it about four weeks out, the same lead DistroKid, TuneCore and CD Baby recommend.
How the planner treats Amuse
- It schedules the upload four weeks before release, whichever plan you choose.
- It accepts dates down to your plan's minimum (14, 10 or 7 days) and flags them as tight.
- It warns you when the date leaves no time for a Spotify editorial pitch, and tells you the earliest date that does.
- Untick the pitch box if you only need the release out on time; the warning then goes away.
Spotify's side of the plan
| Spotify rule | In Spotify's words | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Pitch at least 7 days before release | "Deliver your music at least 7 days before release so our editors have time to listen. You can only pitch one song at a time." | Pitching music to playlist editors |
| Release Radar | "Pitch at least 7 days before release day to pick the song for Release Radar." | Getting music on Release Radar |
| Upcoming tab | "It can take around 48 hours to show from when you submitted it via your distributor to Spotify." | Unreleased music in Spotify for Artists |
| Go-live time | "We need 5 business days to get new music live." | Music not live on release day |
| Release moment | "Store Turn: the release goes live at Midnight, the start of the day for each territory." | Setting up a release deal |
| Countdown Page | At least 3,000 monthly listeners, albums and EPs only, option shown within 72 hours of delivery | Countdown Pages |
| Canvas | "3-8 seconds long. Vertical 9:16 ratio." Can be added to upcoming releases | Canvas guidelines |
What time does the release go live?
By default, at midnight local time in each territory. Spotify's documentation for distributors calls this Store Turn: "the release goes live at Midnight, the start of the day for each territory. Daylight savings time can change this." Midnight arrives first in New Zealand and last on the US West Coast, so in December Auckland hears a Friday release at 11:00 UTC on Thursday and Los Angeles at 08:00 UTC on Friday, a 21 hour spread. A distributor can instead set a timed release (one chosen moment), but few independent distributors offer it. The planner shows your own local time for each market under the plan.
Questions artists ask
How long does Amuse take to release music?
Amuse lets you schedule a release at least 14 days ahead on Artist, 10 days on Artist+ and 7 days on Professional. It does not publish an exact review time.
Can I release a song in 7 days with Amuse?
Only on the Professional plan, which allows scheduling at least 7 days in advance. A release that close cannot be pitched to Spotify editors.
Can I pitch to Spotify editors with Amuse?
Yes, in Spotify for Artists, once the release shows in the Upcoming tab and at least 7 days before release day. Schedule about four weeks out to leave a real window.
Do the paid Amuse plans give me more time to pitch?
No. They let you schedule closer to release day, which shortens the pitch window. Spotify's 7-day rule is the same on every plan.
What time does an Amuse release go live on Spotify?
On Spotify's default Store Turn mode, at midnight local time in each territory, so New Zealand hears it first and the US West Coast last.
Should I release on a Friday with Amuse?
Fridays are the convention: new releases are usually listed on Fridays and Release Radar updates every Friday. It is not a rule; the planner warns you if your date is another day.
